Privacy policy
Koachi is a strength training, nutrition and coaching app for iPhone and Android. This page explains what we collect in the app and on this website, why, who processes it for us, and what you can ask us to do with it. Koachi is made by Alexander Libak in Israel, who is responsible for your data. Questions go to support@koachi.app.
The short version
- We collect what you log and what your account needs, and use it only to run Koachi for you.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or put advertising or analytics trackers in the app.
- A coach sees only what you choose to share with them, and loses access the moment you leave.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or have it deleted, at any time.
What we collect in the app
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address and password (the password is stored only as a secure hash) | To create your account and sign you in |
| The name you give | Shown to a coach you join |
| Your training: workouts, sets, routines, programs, exercises you create, records | To keep your training log and show your progress |
| Your body weight log | To show your weight trend, and later to set food targets |
| Your food diary, foods you add, and your daily targets, as nutrition features arrive | To track what you eat against your targets |
| Your coaching links: which coach, what you share with them, and programs they assign | To run coaching the way you agreed to |
| Settings such as language, units and theme, kept on your phone | To show the app the way you set it |
Body weight and food are information about your health. We use it only to provide Koachi to you and, if you choose, to your coach. We never use it for advertising.
We don't collect your location, contacts or advertising identifier. The app has no advertising or analytics software in it.
Where your data is kept
Everything you log is saved on your phone first, so Koachi works with no connection. If you have an account, it is also synced to our servers so it reaches your other devices and is not lost with your phone. These services process it for us:
- Supabase runs our database and sign-in.
- PowerSync syncs the data on your phone with that database.
- GitHub serves the exercise photos the app shows. When your phone loads one, GitHub sees your IP address and which photo was asked for.
These providers may keep data on servers outside Israel. They process it only on our instructions and under their own data-protection terms. Data travels to and from them encrypted, and the database only lets each person read their own rows, plus what a client has chosen to share with their coach.
Coaches
You connect to a coach only by entering a code they give you. Before you join, Koachi shows the coach's name and asks what to share with them: your workouts (including past ones and exercises you created), your body weight, or both. Nutrition is not shared with coaches today; if that changes, you will be asked first.
You can change what you share, or leave your coach, at any time, and their access ends at once. A coach reads your shared data from our servers when they look at it; it is not stored on their phone. Programs a coach assigns to you stay theirs.
Meal photos
Photo logging is not in the app yet. Before it arrives, this page will say which service analyses the photos and how long they are kept, and the app will ask for your permission before any photo is sent.
Sharing outside Koachi
When you share a workout card, it goes only where you send it, through your phone's share menu. We don't share your data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
This website
The website uses no cookies. Cloudflare hosts it and processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver and protect it.
If you join the beta, we keep your email address, the phone you chose, whether you are a coach, and the site's language. We use them only to send your invite and news about the beta, and delete them when you ask or when the beta ends.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your data from our servers within 30 days. Data on your phone is removed when you delete the app.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also withdraw any consent you gave, such as sharing with a coach. Write to support@koachi.app from the email address on your account, and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to Israel's Privacy Protection Authority, or to the data protection authority where you live.
How to delete your account is on Delete your account.
Age
Koachi is not meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects what we collect or who sees it, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
